Black & White

Words & Music:

Three Dog Night

    A      E          A       E

The ink is black, the page is white,

  A         E        D        E

Together we learn to read and write.

    A        E          A        E

The child is black, the child is white,

    A           E       D       E         A     E   A

The whole world looks, upon the sight – a beautiful sight.

    E                A

And now a child, can understand,

     E                                 E/D     E/C#  E/B

That this is the law, of all the land, all the land.

The world is black, the world is white,

It turns by day, and then by night.

The child is black, the child is white,

Together they grow, to see the light, to see the light.

And now a land, can plainly see.

That this is a cause of liberty, liberty.
